We no longer offer a CSA, a Market Share, nor is our on Farm Stand open. In 2023, after 27 years of produce farming for the general public, we stepped back and began taking care of our land by planting cover crops, trees, shrubs and beneficial habitats for insects, butterflies the other creatures that call Pinehold home, and taking care of ourselves and our neglected house. We did continue to sell produce to a couple of our long time restaurant accounts and a few friends. In 2026 we are expanding our beneficial insect habitat to eight acres through a contract with US Fish and Wildlife.
In 2021, after a wonderful 26 years, we discontinued offering a CSA share. Throughout those years we met and worked with so many people that we would not never gotten to know and learned so many life skills that we would have never acquired if we would not have taken the risk of leaving our full time jobs to start farming using a new business model call Community Supported Agriculture. Thank you everyone who has joined us on this journey.
We have been driven by the taste of our produce and made sure the land with which we work contributed to this effort by being as healthy and as natural as possible. We also worked to increase the biodiversity of our farm both on the land and in the soil because we believed this not only makes for a healthier environment but healthy food and a healthy community as well. We did this without pomp for you, for us, for everyone and everything.
